Overview

Ben Calpino represents clients in complex commercial disputes. He assists in all stages of litigation, including legal research, drafting, case preparation, discovery, case management, and appeals.

At Carlton Fields, Ben has gained experience servicing cases in both federal and state court, including class actions. His cases involve defenses to complicated causes of action, such as Fraud, Breach of Contract, Products Liability, Breach of Fiduciary Duty, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Commodities Exchange Act, and the Sherman Act. He also aids businesses in the recovery of assets by way of loan and mortgage foreclosures. 
 
Ben earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. While attending BU, he gained courtroom and trial preparation experience as a certified student prosecutor for the Boston University Criminal Law Clinic, as well as in a role with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
