Sibel Cagatay focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial litigation in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts. She represents financial institutions, businesses, and individuals in complex matters involving breach of contract, fraud, lien priority disputes, and contested foreclosure actions. Sibel has significant experience managing cases from inception through appeal, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, conducting discovery, and appearing at court conferences, oral arguments, and settlement hearings.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Sibel practiced at New York-based commercial law firms, where she represented and advised clients in litigation involving residential and commercial loans, tax liens, title disputes, and business formation issues. She also provided strategic counsel to lending officers by assessing risks and recommending resolutions to protect investor collateral.
