Overview

Amrit Singh is a litigator with a practice focused on complex business and commercial, torts, labor and employment, restrictive covenant, and professional liability matters. He also has experience litigating trademark infringement and insurance coverage matters. Amrit routinely represents corporate and individual clients across various industries and has extensive experience in prosecuting and defending against high-exposure matters.  

Amrit manages matters from presuit through trial, handling all stages of litigation including presuit investigations, complex written discovery, fact and expert depositions, arguing dispositive motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. With extensive litigation experience in New York state and federal courts, Amrit is frequently called upon by other firm attorneys to navigate complex New York litigation for their clients. Amrit also frequently represents corporate clients in New Jersey state and federal courts.  

Before joining the firm, Amrit assisted in the representation of financial institutions and broker-dealers before FINRA at a national full-service law firm. 

Experience

  • Assisted in obtaining dismissal on summary judgment on behalf of an international Fortune 500 diagnostics laboratory against claims of employment discrimination.
  • Assisted in obtaining dismissal on summary judgment on behalf of an international Fortune 500 diagnostics laboratory against claims of a delay in the transmission of laboratory reporting. 
  • Successfully defended against summary judgment on behalf of an international Fortune 500 diagnostics laboratory for claims of negligence arising from an automobile accident case.
  • Successfully defended against summary judgment on behalf of a New York investment firm in the prosecution of a breach of contract action. 
  • Represented international sugar company in complex tort and premises liability matters.
