Benjamin E. Stearns
Overview
Ben Stearns provides counsel on regulatory, compliance, and licensing matters, with a focus on the insurance industry. He routinely defends insurers in coverage disputes and other litigation, and represents clients before the Florida legislature and executive agencies.
Ben regularly assists clients apply for licenses, respond to enforcement actions, and advocate for legislative or regulatory changes. With more than a decade of experience working with state and local governments, Ben analyzes complex statutory and regulatory schemes to guide clients’ compliance efforts and propose creative solutions to clients’ issues, including, where necessary, drafting legislation and lobbying state legislators or regulators.
In addition to the insurance industry, Ben routinely represents clients in the food service and alcoholic beverage industries, including providing advice on land use matters related to their facilities.
