Associate

Overview

Matt Smaron focuses his practice on product liability and complex commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on defending medical device manufacturers and industrial companies. He represents clients in high-stakes matters across the country, drawing on litigation experience in both federal and state courts.

Matt manages a broad range of personal injury, catastrophic injury, and commercial cases. He is involved at every stage of litigation — including case strategy, initial pleadings, complex discovery, motion practice, expert development, and trial. His experience includes identifying and preparing expert witnesses in high-exposure cases, deposing treating physicians and technical experts, and second-chairing a federal trial to a defense verdict, where he argued a motion for directed verdict and defended a company witness at trial.

Matt brings a practical, focused approach to each case, working closely with clients to navigate complex legal challenges and deliver strong, strategic advocacy. He regularly consults with clients on legal strategy to align litigation approaches with business objectives and is committed to defending the integrity of their products.
