Surge in Telehealth Usage Raises New Cyber Risk, Fraud Concerns

Carlton Fields cybersecurity and privacy attorney Patricia M. Carreiro was quoted in an S&P Global Market Intelligence article about the increased risk of telehealth cyberattacks.

"The healthcare providers are busy, and so they really can't afford to have all of their systems go down, so they're more likely to pay your ransom," Carreiro told the publication. "In essence, you have this perfect storm, combined with people receiving this care who are less experienced and more likely to fall for your scheme."
