2025 Class Action Survey, Jack Clabby Featured in CFO Dive: “‘Activist Workforce’ Fuels Spike in Class Action Defense Costs”

Jack Clabby was interviewed in a CFO Dive article titled “‘Activist Workforce’ Fuels Spike in Class Action Defense Costs.” The article discusses Carlton Fields’ 2025 Class Action Survey, which finds that discrimination claims, “backdoor layoffs,” and unionization attempts remain at historically high levels.

And as in-house corporate lawyers are becoming overwhelmed with class action matters, they’re relying more and more on outside counsel. “The cases are so complicated and so quick moving, that it’s very rare that companies have in-house lawyers with the time or experience to handle it,” said Clabby.
