Alon Lagstein was interviewed in Restaurant Dive in an article titled “Why Urban Areas Are a Challenge for Casual Chains.” The article discusses a few of the reasons why casual full-service chain restaurants often avoid spaces in cities, though experts say the opportunities are there.

Lagstein discusses the ideal commercial space often sought by restaurant brands, as well as the economic opportunity an area may provide. “I think brands are still comfortable betting on a place like Century City,” said Lagstein, given its concentration of offices, a shopping mall, and expensive condos and amenities buildings.
