Mark Neubauer Featured in Daily Journal: “Survey: Class Action Defense Costs Soar to $3.9 Billion in 2023”

Mark Neubauer was interviewed by the Daily Journal, for an article titled “Survey: Class Action Defense Costs Soar to $3.9 Billion in 2023.” The article discusses the results of the firm’s 2024 Class Action Survey, which shows that corporate in-house lawyers are bracing for an onslaught of data privacy, cybersecurity, and generative AI class actions.

“When we first started this survey, [surveyed companies] reported just $2 billion in spending so at $3.9 billion it’s almost doubled in 13 years and it shows three major drivers – more companies are facing class actions, increased complexity, and the claims are getting larger,” said Neubauer.
