Hartford, Connecticut – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that five of the firm’s Hartford attorneys were selected for inclusion in the 2019 issue of Connecticut Super Lawyers. The attorneys were recognized by primary area of practice.

Super Lawyers

  • Frank A. Appicelli – Real Estate
  • John C. Pitblado – Insurance Coverage
  • James M. Sconzo – Employment Litigation: Defense
  • Robert R. Simpson – Civil Litigation: Defense

Rising Stars

No more than 5% of Connecticut attorneys earn a spot on the Super Lawyers list each year. The Rising Stars list is similarly selective and honors lawyers who are under 40 or have been practicing less than 10 years.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
