Litigator James S. Czodli Joins Carlton Fields in Miami

Miami, Fla.Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that James S. Czodli has joined the firm’s Miami office as an associate. He is a member of the Business Litigation Section of the firm’s National Trial Practice.

With the addition of Czodli, the firm builds on the expansion of its nationally recognized litigation team, which includes more than 150 attorneys in 11 offices. Within the past three months, the firm has hired 12 litigators. Corporate counsel named Carlton Fields a “best of the best” law firm in complex commercial litigation in the recently released BTI Litigation Outlook 2020: Changes, Trends, and Opportunities for Law Firms.

Czodli’s practice focuses on commercial litigation. He has trial experience and has handled all aspects of litigation, including arguing motions, conducting discovery, negotiating settlement agreements, and drafting appellate briefs. Czodli is particularly experienced in construction litigation, representing condominium associations, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors in matters involving construction defects, construction liens, and breach of contract claims. 

During law school, Czodli served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Eugene M. Fahey of the New York Court of Appeals. Czodli earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Boston University.
