Carlton Fields’ Cristin Keane Elected as Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel

Tampa, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Tampa Shareholder Cristin Keane was elected as a fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel at the organization’s meeting on May 1, 2020.  

The fellows of the American College of Tax Counsel comprise top tax professionals recognized for their extraordinary accomplishments and dedication to improving the practice of tax law. Fellows must be nominated for membership, and satisfy rigorous standards and screening. Carlton Fields Shareholder Nathaniel Doliner is also a fellow of the organization.  

Keane has extensive experience with closely held businesses, high net worth individuals, and not-for-profit organizations. Her experience with closely held businesses includes limited liability company and S corporation agreement negotiation and drafting, succession planning, federal income and estate tax matters, ISO and nonqualified stock option plan analysis and drafting, and Section 409A deferred compensation analysis. Keane represents individuals with respect to their wealth and estate planning needs, particularly with respect to estates containing business interests. Her representation of not-for-profit organizations includes all facets of federal income taxation and state taxation, as well as contract matters and governance issues.

Keane is board certified in Tax Law by The Florida Bar. She is the 2019-2020 recipient of The Florida Bar’s Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year Award.
