Nonprofit Organizations
Overview
We represent nonprofit, philanthropic, and tax-exempt organizations throughout the United States. We help nonprofit organizations report to the public/government, obtain and maintain their tax-exempt status, and manage their contractual relationships. As their corporate and tax counsel, we work collaboratively with each organization’s board members and management.
Additionally, our government law team identifies, tracks, analyzes, and summarizes legislative proposals and political and policy considerations, assessing their impact on nonprofit client operations. They also assist in drafting legislation and amendments to legislation, help pass or defeat legislative proposals, and use their extensive political relationships for the clients’ benefit.
