Carlton Fields Represents Miami Blue Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association in Land Donation
MIAMI, FL – Carlton Fields represented the Miami Blue Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association pro bono in the donation of five acres of ecologically sensitive land in southern Miami-Dade County from Gus and Fotini Andy.
The donated property, near the intersection of SW 147th Avenue and SW 204th Street, will be permanently protected from development. It is contiguous to the Miami-Dade County environmentally endangered land (EEL) site known as Quail Roost. The additional five acres will help protect the existing EEL property, promote biodiversity, and provide an opportunity for enhanced wetlands, as a portion of the site lies within the hydrologic contours of a seasonal creek. The donated property is designated under the Endangered Species Act as critical habitat for three animals and two plants species.
Carlton Fields shareholders Brian Hart and Cass Brewer and associate Marina Rubio represented the Miami Blue Chapter. Shareholder Dennis Olle serves as president of the Miami Blue Chapter.
