Carlton Fields Continues Los Angeles Growth With New Mass Tort Shareholder Holly Unger Dutton

LOS ANGELES, CA – Holly Unger Dutton has joined Carlton Fields’ Mass Tort and Product Liability Practice as a shareholder in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She was most recently of counsel at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. Her arrival, along with the recent additions of labor and employment lawyer Frank Olah and business litigation lawyer Jeff Miles, highlights the continued strategic growth of Carlton Fields’ Los Angeles office.

Dutton concentrates her practice on complex product liability, premises liability, and toxic tort litigation. She has nearly 20 years of litigation experience, primarily focusing on product liability claims in the automotive, consumer products, and life sciences industries. Prior to joining the firm, Dutton worked closely with Carlton Fields’ Minneapolis-based mass tort and product liability team, led by Jenny Covington and Molly Jean Given, for several years.

“We’re excited to welcome Holly to the firm,” said David Walz, co-chair of the firm’s Mass Tort and Product Liability Practice. “Her experience handling complex, high-profile disputes, combined with her long-standing collaboration with our Minneapolis-based team, really bolsters our national product liability practice and reinforces our commitment to serving our clients around the country with top-tier, cohesive talent.”

From case inception through trial preparation, Dutton handles all aspects of litigation, focusing on motion practice, discovery strategy, and expert witness development. She is known for crafting effective dispositive motions and positioning cases for favorable resolution. In addition to her litigation practice, she is actively engaged in pro bono representation and community service.

“I’m excited to join a firm whose core values truly align with my own,” said Dutton. “Carlton Fields’ collaborative culture and commitment to ensuring employees feel valued and fulfilled made this a natural next step in my career.”

Dutton obtained her J.D. from Southwestern Law School and a B.S. from California State University, Long Beach.
