Dara Lindquist, Brett Henson Appointed Chair, Vice Chair of Florida Bar Construction Law Certification Committee

TAMPA, FL – Carlton Fields’ Dara Lindquist and Brett Henson were appointed to serve as chair and vice chair, respectively, of the Florida Bar Construction Law Certification Committee. Their one-year terms will begin on July 1, 2025. The committee oversees the certification process for attorneys specializing in construction law, including examination development, certification standards, and recertification.

Lindquist represents developers, contractors, and owners in a wide spectrum of construction-related matters including complex contract, lien, bond, and procurement disputes, as well as appeals throughout Florida. She has handled numerous multimillion-dollar construction defect cases involving residential, multifamily, and single-family homes, condominiums, and commercial buildings. She is also experienced in contract drafting and review and dispute resolution. Lindquist is board certified in construction law by the Florida Bar.

Henson focuses his practice in the areas of commercial and construction litigation and handles all types of construction disputes including claims related to breach of contract, delay damages, workmanship and design defects, fidelity and surety bonds, and Florida’s construction lien law. He counsels residential and commercial property owners, developers, and construction industry professionals in all facets of a construction project, including contract preparation, review, negotiation, and dispute avoidance. Henson is also board certified in construction law by the Florida Bar.
