Overview

Dara Lindquist represents developers, contractors, and owners in a wide spectrum of construction-related matters. Board certified in construction law by The Florida Bar, Dara has a deep understanding of the full range of legal issues involved in any construction project.

For more than a decade, Dara has advised clients in complex contract, lien, bond, and procurement disputes, as well as appeals throughout Florida. She has handled numerous multimillion-dollar construction defect cases involving residential, multifamily, and single-family homes, condominiums, and commercial buildings. She is also experienced in contract drafting and review and dispute resolution.

Dara volunteers with My Safe Harbor Inc., a nonprofit founded by her mother to help children in need. She also volunteers with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

  • Represents developers and general contractors in numerous multimillion-dollar construction defect cases involving residential, multifamily, and single-family homes, condominiums, and commercial buildings. 
  • Represented national homebuilder in dispute concerning more than 100 construction liens. 
  • Represented national homebuilder in cases involving contract and tort claims.
  • Performed evaluation of safety regulations for national developer. 
  • Represented owner in dispute arising from renovation of beachfront hotel.
  • Represented national roofing contractor in lien foreclosure action brought by homeowners association.
  • Represented contractor in Miller Act bond claim.
  • Won appeal arising from subcontractor attorneys’ fees claim stemming from arbitration. 
  • Obtained a defense verdict for national company in a trial concerning a contract dispute. 
  • Obtained a defense verdict for company in insurance coverage case. 
  • Handled numerous multiparty mediations in various construction matters. 
  • Handled more than 200 depositions, including depositions of developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, architects, special inspectors, and industry executives.
