WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Susan Taylor has joined Carlton Fields’ Government Law and Consulting Practice as a shareholder in the West Palm Beach office. She was most recently a named shareholder at Perry & Taylor, P.A.
An accomplished real estate attorney, Taylor has extensive experience with complex commercial and residential property transactions, with a particular focus on government approvals. She focuses on land use, zoning, and code enforcement, helping developers, builders, and individual property owners navigate the legal and regulatory processes necessary to bring their projects to fruition.
“Susan brings exceptional depth of experience in land use and real estate law, particularly in navigating government approvals and complex entitlement matters,” said Bill Sklar, chair of Carlton Fields’ Government Law and Consulting Practice. “Her ability to guide clients through regulatory processes while keeping projects moving forward makes her a tremendous asset to our clients navigating the ever-changing Florida real estate market.”
Taylor’s practice includes negotiating and drafting real estate contracts, conducting due diligence, managing entitlement and prospective use analyses, and shepherding projects through local government approvals. She regularly represents clients at public hearings, special magistrate proceedings, and circuit court zoning appeals, working closely with commissioners, council members, lobbyists, and other stakeholders to facilitate approvals.
“From my first conversations, I had a very good feeling about Carlton Fields and its people,” said Taylor. “It quickly became clear that this is a firm built on collaboration, professionalism, and mutual support. I’m excited to join a team that values working across disciplines to deliver thoughtful, effective solutions for clients.”
Taylor earned her J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law and her B.S. from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
