Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Names Carlton Fields Attorneys to 2025 Fellows and Pathfinders Programs

TAMPA, FL – The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has named two Carlton Fields attorneys to its 2025 Fellows and Pathfinders programs. Dewey Nguyen was selected as a Fellow and Miguel Rodriguez as a Pathfinder.

The LCLD is a national organization that provides professional and personal development opportunities for high potential, diverse attorneys through its Fellows and Pathfinders programs by exposing participants to opportunities to network with peers and learn from esteemed program alumni and leaders in the legal profession.

Nguyen is a real estate finance attorney whose practice focuses primarily on multifamily commercial financing. He represents publicly traded and privately held lenders nationwide in the origination, sale, and servicing of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily program loans. Nguyen counsels clients on numerous transactional and regulatory issues, including delegations, agency guideline interpretations, land use restrictive covenant agreements, and complex ownership structures.

Rodriguez’s practice focuses on the insurance industry. He represents clients in matters involving insurance services and coverage issues and has experience defending clients in first-party and third-party property litigation and advising clients in complex property coverage disputes. Prior to his legal career, Rodriguez honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Carlton Fields has been a member of LCLD since its founding in 2009 and firm President and CEO Gary Sasso served on the board of directors and co-chaired the Fellows program. The firm’s past Fellows include Gina Alsdorf, Patricia Carreiro, Daniel Enriquez, Lauren Fenton-Valdivia, Kristin Gore, Derek Harris, Vanessa Singh Johannes, Jin Liu, and Alana Zorrilla-Gaston. Past Pathfinders include Daniel Enriquez, Roben West, Luigi Orengo Jr., and Raina Shipman.
