Leading National Product Liability Defense Lawyer Eden Darrell Joins Carlton Fields
WASHINGTON, DC – Eden Darrell has joined Carlton Fields’ national Mass Tort and Product Liability Practice as a shareholder in Washington, D.C. She was most recently a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP.
Darrell is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on product liability defense for a range of manufacturers including medical device, automotive, and consumer products. She has defended companies in state and federal courts across the country, including serving as national defense counsel for Fortune 500 companies, as well as national counsel in high-profile multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters. As national counsel, Darrell works closely with clients to develop litigation strategies, positioning cases for early resolution, dispositive motion practice, or trial.
“We’re excited to welcome Eden to Carlton Fields,” said Jeffrey A. Cohen, co-chair of the firm’s Mass Tort and Product Liability Practice. “I’ve had the privilege of working alongside her on high-stakes product liability trials and have always been impressed by her strategic thinking, courtroom presence, and dedication to her clients. Her arrival further strengthens our national product liability practice and deepens our commitment to serving clients with top-tier talent.”
Darrell’s addition follows the opening of Carlton Fields’ new Minneapolis office, featuring a team of renowned national product liability defense lawyers with experience trying high-stakes cases across the country.
“Joining Carlton Fields was a natural next step for me,” said Darrell. “The firm’s national reputation in product liability defense, combined with its deep bench of talented litigators, makes it an ideal platform to serve my clients. With four of my colleagues having recently joined in Minneapolis, I’m excited to continue our collaboration in a dynamic environment that prioritizes excellence, innovation, and client service.”
Darrell earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law and her B.S. from the College of Charleston.
