Stephen Beke Joins Carlton Fields’ Mass Tort and Product Liability Practice in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA – Stephen Beke has joined Carlton Fields’ national Mass Tort and Product Liability Practice as senior counsel in Los Angeles.

Before joining Carlton Fields, Beke worked for some of the world’s largest law firms in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area, representing companies such as Google, Merck, Bank of America, and IBM, among others. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a Hollywood screenwriter and, in 1995, co-wrote a feature film bought by Paramount Pictures.

Beke has extensive litigation experience in complex individual and class cases. His experience includes class actions, product liability, securities and M&A litigation, shareholder derivative actions, proxy battles, antitrust litigation, contract disputes, SEC investigations, securities fraud, copyright litigation, patent, and international law. He also has experience covering personal injury, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, employment law, class actions, privacy, entertainment, and business litigation.

Beke earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2003, his master’s from Oxford University in 1991 where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and his B.A. from Queen’s University in 1988.
