Workplace Safety / OSHA

Overview

Carlton Fields’ OSHA team helps clients navigate complex workplace safety and health laws. Our OSHA attorneys are members of our Labor and Employment and Construction practices. This cross-disciplinary team counsels and advises clients on all matters that fall under the Occupational Safety and Health Act and related state laws and regulations. Our team provides legal services in connection with:
  • Compliance with workplace safety and health regulations
  • Development and implementation of safety and health programs and policies in the workplace
  • Conducting safety and health assessments and audits
  • Investigations of workplace accidents
  • OSHA inspections and litigation
  • Resolution of OSHA citations and whistleblower safety complaints
Our OSHA clients span a number of industries including construction, manufacturing, energy, hospitality, and retail, among others. We take a pragmatic, practical approach to representation, with a focus on communication with clients and responsiveness.

Because OSHA litigation can be extremely costly and can damage a company’s reputation, we also focus on risk management and litigation avoidance. We do this through compliance audits, implementing best practices in the workplace, negotiating favorable informal settlements of OSHA citations, and responding quickly in the event of a workplace accident.

Our OSHA team also works closely with clients to create and provide training and education programs to facilitate and maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment.
