Overview

Claire Barlow concentrates her practice on product liability and mass torts, class actions, and complex commercial litigation. She has extensive experience managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, strategic procedural planning, depositions, mediation, and appeals. Her background spans a wide variety of matters, from individual cases to mass consolidated actions, multidistrict litigation (MDLs), and class actions.

Claire is known for her strategic approach to case management, focusing on achieving efficient, cost-effective outcomes for her clients. She has played a key role in successfully defeating class certification at the trial and appellate levels, securing summary judgment dismissals, and resolving disputes early through mediation.

In her practice, Claire regularly drafts and argues motions, handles depositions, and navigates complex procedural issues in both state and federal courts. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, including leading high-impact litigation in collaboration with civil rights organizations.

Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Claire contributed to the major litigation efforts of two Am Law 100 firms and gained experience in large-scale litigation, including participating in bellwether trial processes and defending against class claims.
