Molly Jean Given is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on individual and mass tort product liability for medical device, motor vehicle, and recreational vehicle manufacturers and related class action defense. She has worked on trials in Montana, Washington state, and California and was on the team for a bellwether trial in Orange County, California. She has been lead counsel in multiple medical device mass torts and has argued at the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation.
Molly has experience developing and implementing defense litigation strategies and discovery practices. She has a deep understanding of complex regulatory issues, with experience that includes deposing plaintiffs' Food and Drug Administration experts on 510(k) compliance, developing cross-examination themes and outlines, and authoring briefs to exclude these experts.
Molly has deposed dozens of medical doctors, including plaintiffs' causation experts and treating physicians. She works with causation experts to learn the important facts behind complex theories that helps her analyze the medical records, ask the right questions at fact witness depositions, and find commonsense ways to explain these theories to juries.
