Overview
Erin VanSickle is a senior government consultant whose work focuses on insurance regulatory matters and government affairs. With more than 15 years of experience in regulated industries, public policy, public affairs, and crisis management, Erin brings a multifaceted perspective to her client representation.
Erin advises clients on a variety of issues related to insurance regulation, including assisting with filings and new product development. She also advises startups requiring regulatory approval, including developing national and state regulatory outreach strategies and analyzing state statutes. She also focuses on international and cross-border insurance regulatory structures. Additionally, she advises clients with issues before the Florida Legislature and executive branch, including procurement and contracting, legislative advocacy, and public-private partnerships.
She has advised clients with issues before the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), and a variety of regulatory bodies.
Erin most recently served as deputy chief of staff for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, which regulates a $154 billion industry and more than 4,400 insurance-related entities in Florida. Previously, she served as director of external affairs for a governor's agency, where she managed public relations and legislative affairs.
Additionally, Erin served as vice president of communications and marketing for one of Florida's premier professional associations, where she managed public affairs and media relations for the association and its 20,000 members. Erin also launched a communications firm where she advised local and statewide public affairs and legislative initiative campaigns.
Erin earned her master's degree in risk management and insurance from Florida State University and is a Florida licensed insurance agent. She is a member of Leadership Florida and the American Council of Young Political Leaders.
