Overview
Jay handles real estate transactions across the entire property lifecycle — from purchase, acquisition, development and debt and equity financing, to leasing, managing, and disposition.
Jay has handled a wide range of complex commercial real estate and finance transactions as counsel for developers, institutional lenders, and individual investors. He also has substantial experience in all facets of commercial leasing, and represents both landlords and tenants in retail, office, mixed-use, and industrial leasing matters.
Jay regularly represents financial institutions in commercial real estate and asset-based lending, including structuring and documenting complex construction lending, trade finance, receivable and inventory financing, equipment leasing and financing, and inter-creditor agreements. He advises lenders and borrowers in loan restructuring and workouts, and resolves issues arising from nonperforming real estate assets.
He leverages his broad business background to develop and implement results-based strategies, and is widely recognized for finding creative and practical solutions for clients in loan and business transactions. He is board certified in Real Estate by The Florida Bar.
