Experience
- Assisted in dozens of matters in the defense of insurance company in breach of contract actions involving motor vehicle insurance policies.
- Assisted in the defense of insurance company where the plaintiff alleged that the company breached the policy in its denial of coverage for damage to the plaintiff’s home. After filing a motion to dismiss, showing that the plaintiff had no standing to file suit as a mortgager of the property, the cause of action was voluntarily dismissed.
- Assisted in the defense of a class action “cost of insurance” litigation in which the central issue was whether certain contract terms restricted the factors an insurer can consider in setting rates for certain types of insurance. The court ruled in our client’s favor in granting our motion for judgment on the pleadings.
